Pull leg straps between legs and connect to opposite ends. For a belted harness, connect waist strap after leg straps. Use two buckles at the base of the shoulder straps to adjust shoulder straps. Position extra seat strap below the seat of pants.
Fasten chest strap across the chest. The chest strap should be comfortably snug. The chest strap should NOT be close to the user’s neck, as the strap may contact the neck if the back D-ring slides up during fall arrest.
After all straps are buckled, tighten all buckles so that harness fits snug and allows full range of movement. Pass the excess strap through strap keepers.
Wood Pole Fall Protection (WPFP) is a safety device to restrict the fall when climbing a wood pole. OSHA requires employees climbing or changing location on poles to use a fall protection device. Wood pole fall protection devices, if used properly, will grip the pole in the event of a fall and limit the distance of the fall. Personal fall arrest systems, work-positioning equipment, or fall restraint systems must be used when an employee is working on a pole, tower, or similar structure. SafeWaze offers a variety of wood pole fall protection equipment such as Lineman fall arrest harnesses, climbing fall protection connectors, anchors, lifelines, climbing, and fall protection kits all OSHA and ANSI approved. All SafeWaze fall protection is made with the consumer in mind. Fall Protection Equipment (FPE) shall be used when ascending, descending, changing position, and when in the working position while on a wood pole. learn more about fall protection.
