Salisbury insulated tools are rated for exposure of up to 1000 volts AC and they meet or exceed the standards for insulated hand tools of ASTM 1505-07 and IEC 900.  These tools consist of a plastic underlayer and rubber overlayer that is impact resistant and flame retardant.
• Wearable equipment: Salisbury offers personal protective equipment that includes gloves, sleeves, dielectric boots, hard hats, and face shields for the protection of utility workers and linemen. Their insulating rubber gloves and sleeves are created with dipping and molding processes and come in different classes to protect against electric shock.  Their dielectric boots are built for safety when climbing and insulate from electric shock.  Their hard hats and face shields are comfortable, adjustable, and offer protection from debris and UV rays.
• Grounding equipment: Grounding equipment is extremely important for the protection of utility workers and linemen. This equipment is used to protect workers from electric shock should the powerlines or electric circuits they are working on become re-energized.  Salisbury provides everything needed for protective grounding including clamps, cable, and ferrules.
• Hot sticks: Salisbury offers hot sticks of various lengths and dimensions that provide protection from electric shock when working on live lines. Salisbury hot sticks are filled with foam within fiberglass reinforced plastic that is moisture resistant.  These hot sticks meet the specifications of ASTM F711 and IEC 855.
• Voltage Detectors: Voltage detectors are very important pieces of safety equipment that all utility workers and linemen must use to confirm the circuits and powerlines have been de-energized. Salisbury’s battery-operated voltage detectors can provide you with instant readings and they are constructed with non-conductive materials.
